Studio 1 Project: Dynamics
I’m just about finished with the rigid body dynamics (hard objects) and moving onto the soft bodies (mostly bent metal). It was a huge pain getting my macbook pro to run windows and use the graphics card for 3ds Max, not to mention how unstable my copy is, coupled with the also unstable plug I used. But I think it was worth it, the building seems to have fractured nicely, here is a rough render:
It is a little strange to watch, mostly because there isn’t any fire or noise to compliment with the camera motion, and also because I have yet to drop in the geometry for the background, and the clean sky.
This is a test to get the motion and grip just right on the awning as the roof falls apart:

And finally, another fire test. Adam managed to figure out how to get the embers I wanted, this is a side view of the flames that will be shooting out of the windows and some doors:
